Strange Solace

All aboard the Minehead Express! Welcome aboard the train which will take you on a fantastical journey through places you can only imagine! My name is Derek and I will be your driver today on.

First we travel to a Lost Garden, we will pass through a hidden gate and discover a place of beauty and magic. Vibrant flowers in shades of crimson and coral, blooming plants and a wise ancient forest. Pick sweet-smelling Rosemary and venture down hidden pathways. Don’t worry about the giant, he won’t hurt you.

Off we go again, and this time keep a look out as we pass a tall thin tower, see if you can see the lanterns lit or hear the sound of laugher on the breeze, but we won’t be stopping there. 

That’s on the way to an English seaside town completely overtaken by seagulls. They’re mostly friendly. The shell house is worth a look too. Fascinating chap lives there, tells a great yarn.

Then keep your eye on the hills for a white horse who speaks your heart’s desire. If you are very lucky you might even see a wandering storyteller.

Finally, we will travel to a Lovelly little place where you can take a boat out to sea to meet a mermaid. Just make sure you’re back for breakfast.
