Doris,
I went to the watchet museum today! It was fabulous. So many whimsical watchets. The chap in the green coat said they’d all been deactivated but I don’t know if that’s probable, or even possible. Nick just said she wasn’t sure if you know what a watchet is! Just because I had to tell him. I thought you said your Auntie Maureen used to have one, but maybe that was Susan. Anyway, it’s one of those tiny, intricate pocket watches. You know, the ones that have time related powers? Well, this little museum had the biggest collection I’ve ever seen! Some really rare ones too. I mean, even my sister Gertrude had a time freeze one (so common!). They had a temporal displacement one, that’s incredibly rare. Imagine being transported to an alternate dimension! Hopefully it would send to one where Nick picks up his socks! They had the time theft one in an alarmed case. Imagine being able to steal time from other people to extend your own life! The fact it makes me think it wasn’t deactivated at all. Imagine that falling into the wrong hands. The time summoning one was my favourite. You can summon anyone or anything from any point in time! I’d summon my fifteen-year-old self and tell her not to go out with David Newman!
Anyhoo! Off to do some of the Southwest Coast Path now. I’m on the lookout for Devonshire pixies!
Missing you and the boys!
Much love, Janet & Nick
