It looked more like 1950 when I went through it. I could tell by the style of the clothes. And because the cafe sign said ‘Luncheon’.
I popped in for a luncheon but I wasn’t keen on the devilled egg sandwich, but the Victoria Sponge was divine.
Oh, and everything was in black and white, which seemed a bit strange because I thought technicolour had been invented by then.
