Strange Solace

She said the old gate over Broadstairs was a time slip back to 1953 but that didn’t seem right.

It looked more like the late 1960’s when I went through it. I could tell by the style of clothes and because the Cafe said, ‘Milk Bar’. 

I popped in for a lunch, it was a bit fake American inside, but the Hamburger wasn’t bad and the milkshake was even better. 

Oh, and everything was in this strange sort of hyper saturated colour. I guess that’s what it must have looked like back then.
